Brent has 27 years of experience and expertise in mentoring business owners to help maximise their performance and profitability. Specialising in tax law and business structures, trustee services and directorships, Brent acts as a professional director for over 40 companies.

Brent works across a variety of sectors, including the construction, retail, hospitality, trades, property development and investment industries. He enjoys working with like-minded people who offer a friendly, professional and timely service, in an industry that is quickly evolving with the enhancement of technology.

Among the many leadership roles he has undertaken, Brent is duty chairman of Addington Raceway, a director of Smiths Mitre 10, mentor to CAANZ members, and advisory director of Couplands Bakeries Ltd. He also has involvement with Lamar Charitable Trust, which invests funds and donates up to $400,000 in grants per year.

Adele Ainger brings 25 years of accounting experience to her role, with a diverse background working for a variety of businesses and organisations in New Zealand and overseas.

Her work with Ainger Tomlin has encompassed a broad range of sectors, including not-forprofit, family businesses/entities, retail, farming, investment, and construction-related services.

Specialising in statutory, regulatory and income tax compliance, Adele also offers business advice, system reviews and processes, and acts as a professional trustee for many of her clients. Her role also includes IT management, where she applies her particular interest in the smart use of information technology to improve the efficiency and value of an organisation.

Adele enjoys working with people who are passionate about what they are doing and putting systems and processes in place so they can work smarter. “One of the most exciting aspects of my work is the opportunity to form relationships with motivated clients. I offer a trusted and experienced point of contact for for accounting, tax and admin advice.”

Cantabrians are resilient and working in Christchurch has proved that nothing is impossible, she says. “Different can be better. Being forced to do things differently has given us all the confidence to try new things and better ways of working.”

Adele is a member of the Cobham Intermediate Board of Trustees, part of the FOSCAR management committee, and a trustee of Donaldson Residential Trust.

Mark is a director of Ainger Tomlin with two decades of local experience, and says challenging his clients to achieve their goals and being a part of their success is the most rewarding part of his career.

Specialising in compliance, structuring property transitions and tax advice, Mark’s work includes a focus on the building, construction and sub-trades sectors.

The team at Ainger Tomlin offer timely and practical advice aimed at assisting businesses to achieve their goals, Mark says. “The advice is delivered to my clients by me personally, with the backup of our skilled staff. Clients always appreciate having direct contact with the directors, but also appreciate that they feel comfortable to build relationships with our staff as well.

“Canterbury post-earthquake is an exciting place to be and it’s satisfying to be a part of projects that in their own small way help mould its everchanging landscape.”

Mark has a strong leadership background and works closely with the community, in roles that include acting as a trustee of the Eliza White board of management, providing support to children in need, and a committee member of the Toc H Athletics club (Harriers Division). He enjoys running in his spare time.

Glenn offers a customised service for clients seeking regular ongoing support to grow their business or make it more efficient. His key areas of specialisation are in tax compliance and advice, business advisory services, cash flow management, financial goal setting and monitoring.

His work extends across a broad spectrum of sectors, including commercial and residential property, hospitality, professional service industry, retail and construction.

Glenn offers regular client contact and monitoring, as well as sound software knowledge in accounting technology, to help clients better understand their business and make processes more efficient. “My main motivation comes from helping clients understand their business as it evolves, and using that information to help them improve it.”

Glenn enjoys being part of a strong local economy and making a contribution to the Christchurch rebuild – all within an amazing landscape with many recreational options available nearby.

He is involved in coaching junior rugby and supporting other sporting activities that his children participate in.
